14th Federal Congress on National Urban Development Policy – Data Strategies for Common Good-Oriented Urban Development

This year’s 14th Federal Congress on National Urban Development Policy will take place on 3 May 2020 and will once again offer a prominent stage for current trends and strategies in urban development policy.
In this context, the Smart Cities Dialog Platform of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community will present the co-creatively developed “Data Strategies for Common Good-Oriented Urban Development”. The data strategies contain guidelines and recommendations for action promoting value based data management. They shed light on how access to and use of data in municipalities can be made transparent, participatory and co-creative.
During the Session, a fourth dimension of urban development will be put up for discussion: the digital municipal space. How can we rethink urban development in the digital space? What does this mean for the role of municipalities and urban society?
Here you may find an overview of the Smart City Dialogue sessions:
- May 3rd, 14:15 (CET): Session on “Data strategies for common good driven urban development” at the Breakout Arena IV
- May 4th, 13:45 (CET): Session on “The digital municipal space”
