International, Digital Ideas Competition #SolutionsForCities

On 28.10.2020 the Call for Solutions for the international, digital ideas competition #SolutionsForCities starts.

Worldwide cities face similar challenges. This has become even more visible through the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic situation has generated inspiring creativity and solidarity. How can we transfer innovative solutions from the pandemic to the future? How can we promote sustainable urban development for the common good? With the international, digital idea competition #SolutionsForCities the International Smart Cities Network (ISCN) aims to find answers to these questions.

Through internationally networked cooperation, important findings from the pandemic period are to be made available for urban development oriented towards the common good. Initiated by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community, the idea competition supports cities and municipalities in finding digital solutions for their current local challenges. During a two-day virtual Challenge Lab, the Smart Cities model projects and the partner cities of the ISCN identified current challenges in the respective cities.
