New learning platform on Positive Energy Districts launched

Positive Energy Districts (PEDs) are interconnected building complexes that generate more energy than they consume and can react flexibly to fluctuations in the energy sector. PEDs are therefore an effective measure on the road to climate neutrality in cities and thus a highly relevant topic. But how do you get started with this topic and is there any practical experience?

The new platform pedlearning.eu offers an attractive introduction with a video course. The first module of the course – the PED Start Guide – examines the topic from different perspectives (including technical, social) and provides helpful tips for planning PEDs. The experiences come from the EU project ATELIER, through which Positive Energy Districts are currently being implemented in Amsterdam and Bilbao (http://www.smartcity-atelier.eu). Other course modules will follow in the coming months. In addition to the course, the platform enables interaction with peers and experts.
