Community

The smart city community thrives on active and committed players who work together to grow sustainable and liveable cities and regions with diversity. Find out how you as a municipality can become part of the Smart City Dialogue and benefit from our services.

Connected for a smart future

Strategies and solutions for intelligent, innovative, networked and sustainable smart cities and regions are not the work of individual minds, they are conceived and designed by many minds and teams. The Smart City Dialogue therefore promotes inter-municipal exchange in order to make the knowledge gained available to everyone.

Our working groups offer you the opportunity to work together with other municipalities on innovative solutions. Things get more concrete in the development partnerships: This is where employees from smart city makers exchange practical information, pool their ideas across municipalities, define requirements and develop solutions together. The CDO Forum is a monthly, virtual "coffee round" for digitalisation managers from municipalities to discuss digital urban development.

Please note:

The working groups, development partnerships and the CDO Forum generally work in German. Therefore, our offers for exchange and cooperation are mainly in German.

Working groups

Our working groups are the central platforms for dialogue and cooperation. This is where the Smart Cities pilot projects and interested municipalities work together to develop smart solutions for the cities and regions of tomorrow. Whether it's sustainable mobility, digital infrastructure or social participation - this is where innovative approaches are discussed, knowledge is shared and practical concepts are developed. Discover how this interactive collaboration is paving the way for a smart, liveable future.

Development partnerships

In the development partnerships, several local authorities have joined forces for a specific project, pooling their ideas, defining requirements and jointly developing solutions. Through the co-creative process on specific use cases, they ensure interoperability with various technical systems and guarantee data security through harmonised guidelines for the handling and exchange of data across company and sector boundaries.

Exchange and networking: CDO Forum

The CDO Forum is a monthly virtual coffee round for digitalisation managers from local authorities to discuss digital urban development. In the forum, experts share their experiences and solutions on pressing topics such as climate change and structural change. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
